Safaris and Expeditions is an African Travel Specialist founded by Tom Schovsbo, which helps travelers plan and book adventures to Africa and the Indian Ocean islands. Operational since 2004, destinations have expanded from a focus on Tanzania, to offering excellent trips to many of the best safari destinations on the continent.
We provide advice on where and when to go, recommended locations and activities to include and prepare inclusive quotes so you know what to expect before you travel. We also provide support during your trip, both directly and through our local ground operators.
Upon request, Tom will accompany travelers to ensure everything, including the unexpected, is taken care of so that guests can relax and enjoy their holiday.
Having grown up in Tanzania where the family has a farm near Arusha, Tom guided for Equestrian Safaris for many years, riding near the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro and into the Rift Valley while also leading groups in Tanzania’s parks and reserves. For 10 years, Tom managed one of Friedkin Group safari companies in Arusha and has been involved in several conservation based initiatives.
